Ellie Towe, Resident in Counseling

If you've found yourself here, you may be carrying questions or pain that feel too heavy to hold on your own. Maybe you're feeling disconnected from yourself or overwhelmed by life. Perhaps you're questioning beliefs you were taught growing up, navigating the grief that can come with religious trauma or spiritual abuse, struggling to communicate your needs in your relationships, or trying to understand your neurodivergent mind in a world that wasn't built for it.

Many of us learn to hide parts of ourselves in order to feel accepted or safe. For neurodivergent individuals, this may look like years of masking. For those recovering from harmful religious spaces, it can mean untangling shame, fear, or guilt while trying to rediscover your authentic self. These experiences often affect the way we navigate through the world and our relationships. You may struggle to set boundaries, express your emotions, or advocate for your needs.

I believe therapy should be a place where every part of you is welcome and honored. My hope is to create a safe, curious, and compassionate space for you to explore your stories, process pain, and experience hope - without judgement.

My approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic approaches. Together, we'll explore the different parts of you, reconnect with your values, and gently work through the experiences that have kept you feeling stuck. Whether you’re navigating religious trauma or deconstruction, embracing your neurodivergent identity, strengthening communication skills, or working through relationship challenges and life transitions, our work will move at a pace that feels safe and collaborative.

I strive to create a safe space for those in marginalized communities, including individuals who are LGBTQIA+. Through ongoing education and advocacy, my goal is to ensure that all voices are heard, valued, and respected.

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable and finding the right counselor matters. If you're looking for someone who will meet you with compassion, authenticity, and respect for your unique story, I'd be honored to walk alongside you. Healing isn't about becoming someone different; it's about reconnecting with the person you've always been.
